Second owner for the last 15 years. Fully loaded including rare MOONROOF, but has been driven and enjoyed. Passed smog with new cat. Tasteful modifications for reliability and safety of my family, who has now grown and moved, so I have no need for my Jeep.
Drivetrain Modifications for reliability: 4 wheel disc brakes, from Cadillac Seville with working parking brake. Rear Aussie Locker and Diff Guard. Bilstein remote reservoir shocks all around. Slight lift with re-arched stock springs for soft ride. New Pitman arm with recent tie rods and drag link.
Engine Mods for reliability: 100% smog legal, all hooked up. Electric fuel pump. Bypass type fuel filter. MSD ignition and coil, with timing control from inside the cab. (BAR approved) New power steering pump with braided lines and steel fittings, new high amp alternator and NAPA battery. Also new to pass smog , air pump, catalytic converter, vacuum lines, spark plugs, Ford cap and rotor mod.
Interior: Leather / cloth with ripped drivers seat. Cig burn in rear seat from some Disco party before I owned it. Front arm rest, but with seat belts for 3 plus 3. Kenwood CD player and speakers. All power windows have been disassembled and cleaned, so have power door locks but they locks are still inconsistent. (very common) power rear window works from dash but not tailgate (also common). Headliner sagging, then repaired, and now starting to sag again. (incredibly common)
Miscellaneous. Has some dents along rocker, not from serious ‘wheeling, but from just drives on logging roads. RF fender has been changed before I got it, but bumpers are original. Transmission has been rebuilt, has professionally installed shift kit, and other mods for reliability including deep sump pan. Four wheel drive switch on dash, and transfer case shifters work flawlessly.
Update on repairs I have had to do, because the Jeep has been sitting for a while: New windshield wiper motor, new window tracks (very common problem, but now renewed), new rear window switch.
Mileage updated from 185K to actual 198K.
Hood ornament was a gift from my mom, so the stock (rare) upright Jeep ornament will be installed.
